Student Admission Notice
Students are accepted on a priority basis according to their
Fire Department or EMS System affiliation
- Active members of a fire
department or government-based EMS system will be given
priority admission consideration
- Non fire department
applicants, those affiliated with a private EMS or ambulance
company and others, are accepted on a "space available"
basis

Tuition
$600 and up (dependant upon
EMS department's affiliation with program) includes: all books,
priority on-campus parking, initial National Registry
Testing, school uniform shirt, and Basic Life Support
class.
Application/Enrollment
Qualified applicants must
complete an application and submit valid copies of your
Ohio driver’s license and high school diploma or GED
certificate. Application and late fees
may be paid by a money order or cashier's check made
payable to Grant EMS Education.

Course Completion Requirements
Upon successful completion of
all requirements, including class attendance, assignments,
and examinations, field-based clinical rotations,
hospital-based clinical rotations, and any other
student/class requirements, the student may be
eligible to sit for the Ohio EMS Certification Exam
(National Registry).

Advanced Airway Course for Ohio
Reciprocity
for those seeking Ohio EMT-B
reciprocity; 12 hours
Eligible out-of-state EMTs that need to complete the Ohio
Division of EMS Advanced Airway Course requirement may attend
portions of the EMT-Basic course to meet the Ohio reciprocity

National Registry of EMTs
All National Registry
practical exams have open registration. Students outside
of the Grant EMS Education Program may complete their
testing at our test site. You must make a testing reservation and bring a
government issued photo ID with you to the exam site.
